Dear brother and sister, <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I want to start my reflection with this phrase: A condition that will become the most certain in our human activities or bodily situation is tiredness. Everyone in this place must know what tiredness is, do you? Or at least every one of us has an experience of what we call \u201ctiredness.\u201d Can anybody explain to me what tired or tiredness is? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tired [Stanco in italian] means: feeling of lost our own physical power and intellectual [and also spiritual power [che sente diminuite le proprie forze fisiche e intellettuali:\u00a0essere s. per il troppo lavoro<\/em>]. \u2248 affaticato, fiacco, infiacchito, snervato. And from this word, there is also an exression, \u201cnato stanco\u201d [di persona, che non si d\u00e0 molto da fare]\u00a0\u2248 abulico, apatico, fiacco, flemmatico, inattivo, indolente, inoperoso, (fam.) moscio, pigro, svogliato. \u2016 rilassato.\u00a0<\/em>\u2194 attivo, dinamico, energico, operoso, vispo, vivace.\u00a0<\/p>treccani.it<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Today, Jesus talks about the common feeling of tiredness from work and stress. He highlights that God provides relief, rest, and rejuvenation for those who require it. He encourages people to seek this help.:\u00a0\u201dCome unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest’ … ‘For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.\u201d<\/u><\/em>\u00a0Mt 11:28,30.<\/strong>\u00a0As Jesus emphasized, exhaustion can stem from physical and spiritual factors, as Scripture notes. The challenge is that it’s not always clear which type of fatigue we’re experiencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, what could make people so tired? Scripture notes some examples that cause human tiredness, spiritually and physically. Among those, I would like to emphasize work, desire for money and possessions, sin, and foolishness. We will work not for real achievement or wisdom but only for money, a richness seen in our custody and what we have. We should recall the proverb:\u00a0\u201dLabour not to be rich: Cease from thine own wisdom.\u201d [Pr 23:4]\u00a0<\/strong>These states lead us to commit\u00a0sin and rebellion against God and humanity: \u201cAnd they will deceive everyone his neighbor. And will not speak the truth: They have taught their tongue to speak \u201c [Je 9:5]. As flawed individuals, we often act foolishly and can never find true satisfaction. Our constant pursuit of fulfillment leaves us exhausted, and we may need to be more aware of what is truly important.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll things\u00a0are<\/em>\u00a0full of labour; man cannot utter\u00a0it<\/em>: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.\u201d<\/p>\n[Ec 1:8]<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
For this reason, Jesus urges: \u201dCome unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest’ … ‘For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.\u201d<\/u><\/em> Mt 11:28,30 <\/strong>He offers rest and encouragement. The Latin proverb \u201cQuo Vadis\u201d [where do you go] could be our personal reflection on Jesus\u2019 invitation: \u201cCome unto me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inizio la mia riflessione con questa frase: Una condizione che diventer\u00e0 la pi\u00f9 certa nelle nostre attivit\u00e0 umane o nella nostra situazione fisica \u00e8 la stanchezza. Tutti in questa chiesa sapranno cos’\u00e8 la stanchezza, vero? O almeno ognuno di noi ha un’esperienza di quella che chiamiamo \u201cstanchezza\u201d. Qualcuno pu\u00f2 spiegarmi che cos’\u00e8 la stanchezza o l’affaticamento?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La stanchezza [Stanco in italiano] significa: sensazione di aver perso la propria forza fisica e intellettuale [e anche spirituale]. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oggi, Ges\u00f9 parla della comune sensazione di stanchezza che deriva dal lavoro e dallo stress. Sottolinea che Dio offre sollievo, riposo e ringiovanimento a coloro che lo richiedono. Incoraggia le persone a cercare questo aiuto: \u201cVenite a me, voi tutti che siete stanchi e oppressi, e io vi dar\u00f2 ristoro \u2026 Il mio giogo infatti \u00e8 dolce e il mio peso leggero\u201d<\/em> [v. 28,30]. Come ha sottolineato Ges\u00f9, la stanchezza pu\u00f2 derivare da fattori sia fisici che spirituali, come si legge nelle Scritture. La sfida \u00e8 che non sempre \u00e8 chiaro quale tipo di stanchezza stiamo vivendo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Allora, cosa pu\u00f2 rendere le persone cos\u00ec stanche? La Scrittura riporta alcuni esempi che causano la stanchezza umana, sia spirituale che fisica. Tra questi, vorrei sottolineare il lavoro, il desiderio di denaro e di beni, il peccato e la stoltezza. Non lavoriamo per ottenere risultati reali o per la saggezza, ma solo per il denaro, una ricchezza che si vede nella nostra custodia e in ci\u00f2 che abbiamo. Dovremmo ricordare il proverbio: \u201cNon affannarti per accumulare ricchezze, sii intelligente e rinuncia\u201d<\/em> [Pr 23,4]. Questi stati ci portano a commettere peccato e a ribellarci a Dio e all\u2019umanit\u00e0. Dice Geremia: \u201cAngheria su angheria, inganno su inganno; rifiutano di conoscermi\u201d [Ger 9:5] <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Come individui imperfetti, spesso comportiamo in modo stupido e non riusciamo mai a trovare la vera soddisfazione. La nostra costante ricerca di gratificazione ci lascia stanchi e forse abbiamo bisogno di essere pi\u00f9 consapevoli di ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 veramente importante. Sottonlinea il Qoelet: Tutte le parole si esauriscono<\/p>\n\n\n\n
e nessuno \u00e8 in grado di esprimersi a fondo. Non si sazia l’occhio di guardare n\u00e9 l’orecchio \u00e8 mai sazio di udire\u201d [Qoelet 1:8].<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Per questo motivo, Ges\u00f9 esorta:\u00a0\u201cVenite a me, voi tutti che siete stanchi e oppressi, e io vi dar\u00f2 ristoro \u2026 Il mio giogo infatti \u00e8 dolce e il mio peso leggero.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Concludo con una domanda in latino: \u201cQUO VADIS?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0[Dove vai? \/ dove vado io \/ Dove andiamo noi?]<\/p>\n\n\n\n
